Excercise 2: Startscreen

Task
Create a startscreen with three given pictures:
- Name: pmsw
- size: 600x400px
- Background: Writing hand
- Middle Layer: Projectplan
- Top Layer: A+B logo
Task is to create a new picture with a transparent logo on top. Writing hand as background and the projectplan perspectively correct on the table.

I finished my 1st version of the storyboard. I just drew some frames and added notes to declare what happens in the frame. If you want to have a look open the attached PDF-file.

Video project decission

We have to create a “Product Trailer” which is at least 30seconds long. For that we have to choose a product we want to create the trailer for.
Well, I’ll choose “Gesture recognition with Kinect”. This is a project I’m working on for the module “PAWI”.
I think, that it will be fun to create a trailer for this project because it’s quite interesting itself.

Excercise 2: Animation with Processing

The excercise was given as follows:
- Create a processing app
- There are pictures given to create an animated earth (turning around)
- Background should be some stars
- With a mouseclick the earth should change direction of turning
- With a keypress “P” the current frame should be saved as picture
In my opinion processing is a good program to create simple animations. If you want to do animations on your own, you should know java.
It was fun to implement this example. And for me it was not very hard to do as I know java and got used to the specialities in processing.
I had to do the following things to get the applet to show up and work correct in wordpress:
- Install Plugin Java Applet Embed which can be found on wordpress.org
- Configuring security for java applet security
The final result is embedded as a java applet below:
